Hey, who turned out the lights?
Here is a brief list of things that I learned in the past month and a half, where Santa’s brain possessed my computer and demanded to be fed blog entries instead of posting them here and I only managed to destroy his mind when I started reposting things from Little Green Footballs. *
1.
Google released its annual Zeitgeist – the top 10 most searched for items in each country – and in at number 6 for Canada was ‘Google’. I wonder if there’s a small collection of Canadians typing Google into Google repeatedly trying to break the internet.
2.
Woolworths is no more. Which makes me slightly sad, because it was the foundation of West Ealing’s high street and it was the nearest music store to where I grew up.
But a week ago, you could even buy things like the baskets, fittings, counters in the store. And you could buy the old stock. One thing that caught my eye was 4kg boxes full of exactly the same pic n mix. I did so want to buy a 4kg box of fried eggs, and then experiment on them (for example, by trying to make an omelette out of them) but I’m married now so I’m not allowed any more.

The different varieties of vegetarian food continue to astonish and interest me. For instance, this was Christmas dinner in Kings Cross.
